SPIRITAN UNIVERSITY NNEOCHI (SUN) LOSES AN Illustrious Academic Staff - DR. CLETUS C OLIMAH:

High Chief Cletus Chukwuma Olimah, PhD, JP, who joined the services of Spiritan University Nneochi as an Acting Head of the Department of Physics in 2018 and later as the Acting Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, passed away on September 12, 2025 after a brief illness. Until his death, High Chief C C Olimah was a very active and visible member of our University Community as he served in various Council and Senate committees of the University. The University Community will greatly miss him as it consoles the biological family.

His funeral/burial rite was held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Umudim, Ngodo Isuochi, Umunneochi LGA, Abia State. In attendance at the funeral rite among other Church and state dignitaries were the Vice-Chancellor of Spiritan University Nneochi, Very Rev Fr Prof Remy Onyewuenyi, CSSp, PhD; the DVC, Very Rev Fr Arc Prof Peter C Agbonome, CSSp; the Registrar, the Bursar, the staff and students of SUN.

May his gentle and great soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
